Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
Two important measures of the value of scholarship are when one's work builds upon future scholarly work and when one's work is adopted within and across professional or disciplinary boundaries. Below are pieces of SoTL that meet these measures of value.
Self-regulated learning

- Value: Amidst the push to facilitate development of faculty as teachers, little attention has been given towards the development of self-regulated learning among students. This topic raises awareness of the phenomenon of self-regulated learning. The work will continue as a collaborative project with Prof. Chris Fitzgerald and has received grant support through the Faculty Scholar program in 2012-2013. The preliminary results of the study has been submitted for consideration as a research paper at the American Educational Research Association: aera15_proceeding_931635 under review.pdf
Interprofessional education
- Bondoc_Wall IPE Presentation Work in Progress.pptx
- This work in progress has continued further into a 2-year study culminating in 2 peer-reviewed presentations and 1 manuscript (under review following 2nd revision).

- Journal Publication: OT in Healthcare submission IPE.pdf
- Value: This scholarship supports the effort of the SHS, SoM and SHS about the need for more collaboration in preparing students who will graduate and are capable of thriving in an interprofessional health environment.
