College of Arts & Sciences Student Council
Our Mission
The College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) Student Council was established at the start of the Fall 2016 academic semester, and I was selected to be its inaugural President. Under the advisement of Dean Robert Smart, our council consists of a diverse group of students selected by the department chairs of their individual major departments. We serve as student ambassadors for CAS, represent the College’s student body and their voices, and serve as liaisons between the College’s faculty and its students. We are also responsible for planning commencement exercises with CAS administration. Our ultimate goal is to enhance the academic experiences of our fellow classmates by voicing other students’ needs and putting them into action.
